gravity-slaves dh race team
Born out of road trip stupidity and racing, the gravity-slaves dh race team involves 5 riders looking to have fun at the races and support each other in pursuit of their personal riding goals. To keep the team rolling, a host of sponsors have come on board to offer welcome support...
Clad in the striking 2007 Sombrio race kit, the team will stand out from the crowd in Electric blue Clutch tops and 'Cloud' Rev shorts supplied by Paligap. Paddy at MT Designs is busy printing them as I type so hopefully they are all dry for Bala practice! The 90's meets punk styling means love it or loathe it, the team will get noticed - so get your cameras ready!
Five Ten sticky rubber keeps our feet pinned to the flat pedals while TF Tuned ensure the shocks keep the bikes stuck to the ground. To protect our eyes and ensure clear blur free vision during the warp-speed riding sessions, we're rocking the rudest goggles from Electric Visual, while Imperial rotors and pads haul the rigs to a halt in a hurry when needs be.
The 'practical' white shorts will have some protection from the elements thanks to THE Industries Pro shrouds. Riders will also be running other THE products such as the carbon fibre ONE helmet and XC Ti or DH saddles.

Riders
Joe Bowman – Junior
Joe's riding came to my attention when he whipped the hardtail field at the Midlands Winter Series! His riding keeps improving and we know it's only a matter of time before Joe makes his presence felt in the hotly contested Junior category. As well as the team sponsors, Joe is supported by Grainger.
John Malcomson – Senior
'Malco' has a powerful and direct moto riding style that has progressed, literally, in leaps and bounds since he moved to within a short sprint of the Bolehills BMX track. Hardtail skills have bolstered his DH riding and he's set for some good results - and big hangtime - in 2007.
Balasz Demeter – Senior
'B' left his native Hungary in search of the best riding in Europe. Pretty soon he landed in England and homed in on Sheffield. B's super smooth style with manuals for miles stands out as much as his perma-smile and fantastic attitude. Everything is fresh and exciting – he's the teams own mini Gracia. You'll spot him on the pink Iron Horse Sunday.
Neil Cousins – Senior
Neil is focused and very fast. Able to detect your suspension settings at 20 paces, his bikes are always super tweaked. Neil is rocking the freeride rig this year – an Iron Horse 7 point with Totems on. Save the hucker jokes till after he's kicked your ass though!
Phil has years of racing experience under his tyres and has been an active part of several high profile teams in the past. The time is now right to take the place as rider-manager of his own race team under the gravity-slaves name. It's also not too late to dream of getting quicker - hopefully riding with the team will keep him on form. He also hopes to learn to jump. Never say old dog, new tricks...
