Ginger Rick's bike mechanics

When you spend your time hurtling down a hill or flying through the air on your expensive push iron, it makes sense for it to be immaculately fettled. You wouldn't want it letting you down at the wrong time would you? Especially if you are racing, a working bike is vital. At best a mechanical failure could cost you time, at worst it could cause you pain!
Some riders are excellent mechanics with bikes prepped perfectly for every run. Others don't know one end of a hex key from the other (even the Elite racers!).

When you are racing it's always a good idea to pack spares. But where do you stop? How much stuff do you take? And how much skill and knowledge do you have to make the fixes in a field?

Step in Ginger Rick, a fully qualified Cytech mechanic...

This season Rick is packing a serious toolbox and supporting the Pearce series with free repairs on race day. You may have spotted him at the Bala round - he was the one bleeding brakes all of Saturday evening!

Rick has a long history of working with various top named riders in the UK and has spannering experience alongside some of the best wrenches in the business so if you've not got the kit, don't know what you are doing or are simply too beat from a days uplift, why not drop your bike off with Ginger Rick?

He's always ready to pull on his latex gloves and give your ride a seeing too. So don't sit on your bike and cry - pop it over to Ginger Rick for some much needed love!

Rick is working trackside at all Pearce races this year. Servicing is free but I'm sure a tip wouldn't go amiss. Try Red Bull or something Volcom - it's probably best to save the beer until he's finished working on your brakes!

Rick also offers race builds and mechanics in the Manchester area. If you've got a problem and no one else can help, then call Ginger Rick!
